Following her rejection of his marriage proposal, a 28-year-old man allegedly set his girlfriend's house on fire in an astonishing occurrence in Anandpur village, Bhadrak district. Jyoti Ranjan Das, the culprit from Vidyadharpur village, has been on the run since the event, but happily nobody was hurt in the fire. Authorities are hunting him actively.

Young woman victim has accused Jyoti of constantly pushing her to wed him. She says he even threatened to release private pictures should she reject his proposition. Apart from these dangers, she claims Jyoti tried to compel her into seeing him several times and sent death threats. Jyoti supposedly turned to a terrible crime of fire as she kept turning away his approaches.

The cops claim that the fire totally burned five sheds and resulted in a notable loss of assets like gold jewellery, furniture, food grains, and essential paperwork. The destroyed items had been worth Rs 15 lakh overall. The victim's family is not only bereaved of belongings but also of anguish resulting from the claimed activities of Jyoti.

Since then, the victim complained to the Dhamnagar police, who registered a case and started looking into the incident. Authorities believe that, given the degree of the fire, there have been no reports of injuries despite the great damage it caused—a lucky result.

Now living in fear, the victim and her family have the woman voicing grave worries about their safety. "He puts our lives under danger. Should he remain undetectable, the victim remarked, he could do even more sinister acts. Her family tells the authorities to act quickly and bring Jyoti to justice before he can inflict any further damage since they share her concerns.

Although police are stepping up their search to find Jyoti, he is still evasive. Authorities have reassured the victim and her family that they are working tirelessly to locate the accused and ensure he pays full consequences of his actions.

The town has been rocked by this disturbing event; many residents are worried about the rising numbers of violent and harassing events linked to rejection of marriage proposals. It draws attention to the startling degree some people will go to compel others into partnerships and the great distances others will travel when their needs are not satisfied.

While the victim and her family fervently await justice, Bhadrak villagers are hoping for a quick fix as the inquiry goes on. The event also begs significant issues regarding the necessity of more awareness and involvement when it comes to handling harassment, threats, and the pressures experienced by women in these circumstances.

Those who know Jyoti's location should come forward and help with the inquiry, authorities have advised everyone. They have also guaranteed the victim and her family the required help and defence during this trying period.
